The closest comparable PC software package is Permiere Pro. You can start a good bar fight over which one is better, but those are the two least furthest apart.

Duh...yyyyyup! We just sit around on our rockin' chairs eatin' jerky & throwin' rocks at gators!

...and there are plenty of engineers to argue the Mac / PC thingy with too! smiling smiley

On that topic (I love this)...one of our "higher up's" had a few huge meetings over the last 6 months with multiple Departments asking us for input on a Unity-type system that could handle Uncompressed HD and all the other flavors beneath it for about 15 stations. I suggested a 56 Terabyte XRaid / XSan system running Intel Macs. They looked at the price & freaked. They went with a recycled (used) PC Unity system to save money. It crashes the fiber connections at random all day - everyday (lol). They even flew in a "network specialist" from out of town (no names / places to protect the innocent). He went through the system for 3 days, said "that's better" & went home. The Kernal Panics started the next morning.

I hope Apple never releases FCP for pc's. Let Avid have 'em winking smiley
