multiclipping

Settings:
RT Unlimited (tried Safe as well)
Viewer Open
Canvas Open
Multiclip 4-up
Multiclip Active tracks -- have tried both Video only and Audio+Video

Timeline will play through canvas and I can make clip switches that way but it will not switch the camera in the canvas until I press the space bar. I am unable to see the clips in the viewer (and how the cams are changing) until stopping. The viewer will run by itself and the canvas/timeline by itself, but they won't run together.

Look up "playhead sync" in the manual. The middle button at the top of your canvas window that looks like this |x| is where you start.
Remember that active tracks means which tracks will be affected when you make the cuts.

You also have to have drives fast enough to play back all the streams in your multiclip.

This also sounds like what happens if you render the timeline before doing your multiclip switching, in which case you need to "unrender".
