Which computer to buy to support Final Cut Studio

I need Final Cut Studio 2 and was thinking of buying a MacBook Pro for portability. Will it work okay on that, or what computer should I buy to support this application the best?

A 17" MacBook Pro is perfect for FCS2. The 15" MBP will also work but needs an external monitor to fill the screen correctly.

Also, when using the MBP, consider an external drive for storing the some 30 GB of templates, sound loops, etc that loads with FCS2. You should always use an additional drive for loadimg the captured files to.
