Hi,
I like it and it seems to very reliable.
The A2D has the nice analog options, RS232 and timecode in - we did some setups (a bit tricky) when recording external sound and using the 16 mm cam video out. We got a nice synched preview of our rolls before going to telecine.
You can even use it to split clips using timecode on audio tracks.
I also got an installation which uses a lot of those devices to playback video, these worked fine for nearly 2 years 7 days a week 16 hours with continuous playing until the fire police department closed the fresh air channel for the cooling and only two of the A2D dyed.
It's a real nice product, though in some means not as fancy as the FireStore.
