MXO and audio sync?

hey all you MXO users out there....

seems to be pretty good concensus that it works well for low cost, color correct monitoring. I am tempted. However, if I go with the mxo, how do I monitor audio in a way that makes me feel confident in the audio quality and sync with the video?
I am not impressed with the audio coming out of the line output, and i don;t want to buy a capture card just to monitor audio, so what do people with the MXO use?

The RCA outs into my mixer work fine. And if I am mastering with audio, audio is embedded in the SDI signal...which works for digibeta, HDCAM, DVCPRO HD. I have yet to master to betasp, but no doubt I'd route it from my mixer.
