Is Sony HVR-A1U HD a good camera for FCP?

I'm planning on finally switching to the HD route after a few years of plain old DV. I just want to get feedback on any users of this camera and what they have to say, good or bad.

You mean does FCP support it? Yes. All HDV cams are supported. You might not like the HDV experience while editing though. You might want to google FCP and HDV as part of your research.
