layoff separate audio tracks to mini DV

Is it possible to lay off two separate audio tracks to mini-DV, so that when you re-capture off the DV, you can capture audio tracks separately. Or does all audio get mixed during lay-off?

i think i understand the question..
you want to be able to send certain audio tracks to discrete outputs on playout.

open your sequence's settings window (Apple zero)
go to the "Audio" tab.
choose "Dual mono"

now back in your timeline,
right or control click on or near the lock icon on the left hand side of the TL.
here you can choose which output the track gets sent to, 1 or 2

it's a little awkward, and easy to make mistakes, so when you're done, go through all the tracks again and double check all your assigns.
also you can spot check your timeline, and see the results in the audio meters
