Cross dissolve problem

Hello,

My problem is that I cannot seem to get the keyboard shortcut for a cross dissolve (I'm using cmd T) to work anymore. I do not think it is a problem with a lack of video handles etc, because I can still get a cross dissolve by going to the effects menu, or by key framming. But this takes longer, and besides, it was my favorite keyboard shortcut.

Can anyone help? I'm using a dual core Intel Mac Pro with 4 GB of memory. Also running FCP 6.0.1. No leopard upgrade yet.

Thanks in advance.

APPLE-T isn't necessarily for a Cross Dissolve -- it's to apply the Default Transition. Go into the Effects tab of your Browser, CONTROL-click on Video Transitions - Dissolve - Cross Dissolve and choose Set Default Transition. See if that fixes it. If not, dump preferences.

Ah yes. Reseting it as the default worked. Thanks so much.
