<HTML>Howdy,
Can FCP 2.0 start the recording device the same way it stops and starts and shuttles, like when you capture.
I'm using a PVDV910 consumer DV Panasonic camera that has no external record button...but obviously records...needs a remote control though...before i go out and buy the RC...can Firewire do it ?
FCP 2 just tells me to push record on the device manually to begin the print to video.
Any thoughts ?

<HTML>Try using the "Edit to Tape" function under the tools menu. Pre black about one minute using the "black and code" button, then rewind the tape to a valid time code and set an in point. FCP will control your camera and automatically master your sequence to your specified in point.

P.S. I assume you found my FX Builder tutorial movie?
