FCP Broken Relationship

Hi there,

I have copied an entire project from one FCP suite to another ( Both running 5.1.4 on G5 Quad Macs). I have not consolidated using media manager - I have copied all the files in their full clip durations on to the other system across a simple ethernet set-up. When I press 'F' to match frame from the timeline, it does so fine, but 'SHIFT F' no longer matches back to the clip location in the browser - quite irritating and slowing my work-flow a lot. Any advice welcome - can this be sorted easily?

Just a guess here. You are in a different room. Did you bring your keyboard layout with you? If not you might want to check to be sure that someone did not remap the function "Revel Master Clip" that normally lives on Shift-F.

Option H will call the tool for checking/remapping keys.

does it give you a message saying that the master clip is not present? Basically when that happens, there's no way to relink it back to the browser. Not that I know of anyway...
