Altered timecode during capture

I keep getting this problem when i capture some footage it seems to change the tapes timecode. Instead of starting at 00:00:00;00 or whatever the tapes timecode start is, it starts at 22:26:26;15. Which makes any kind of recapture impossible since the clips timecode doesn't match the tapes. All the settings are correct that I know of so I wondering if anyone has any idea of why its doing this.
