Hardware recommendation for monitor

I've just started using a PMW-EX1 and wanted to see what people are recommending regarding an external monitor?

I am currently running a Macpro Dual Core Machine with 4GB of RAM and have a 30 inch Cinema Display with a Radeon X1900 card.

I am guessing to see my HD footage displayed properly I need another card? and a new monitor?

You will need an HD capture card and HD monitor. The cheapest solution would be either the Matrox MXO and Apple 23" Display (it does not work with the 30"winking smiley, or a Decklink Intensity or Intensity Pro and HDTV with Component or HDMI ins. The MXO would give you broadcast quality, while the Intensity and HDTV would get you a decent picture.

The JVC DTV24L1U 24-Inch MultiFormat LCD Monitor has just radically come down in price. Only $2G's now.

That is a deal! Especially since their 17 inch monitor is more expensive. Thanks for the heads up!
