Capture now issue

I'm editing a project that was shot on tape on a JVC GY250 camcorder in HDV at HD60P. I have to capture the video via firewire using the camera as my deck. For whatever reason, the video seems to have been shot without timecode. While the Log and Capture window indicate there is communication between the deck and FCP, and the transport controls in FCP do control the deck, no video shows up in the capture window, and when capturing via "Capture Now" I get a pop up window indicating no data is being received.

I've captured HD60P video to FCP before on several projects using the following AV settings:

Sequence Preset - DV NTSC 48KHZ
Capture Preset - HDV
Device Control Preset - HDV Firewire
Video Playback - Blackmagic NTSC - 8 Bit (720x480)
Audio Playback - Decklink Audio

Turned out to be a hardware problem. Bad firewire connection.
