Weird audio sync problem in nested sequence

Hello everyone,

This is my first post here. I've got a presumably weird problem.

I've got one anamorphic sequence that's about an hour long and I nested it in a 4x3 sequence to letterbox it.

There is one point in the 4x3 sequence (in which the 16:9 sequence is nested) where the sound goes out of sync. It jumps forward by about 3 seconds, and then later on (about ten minutes later in the movie) it goes back to normal. I checked the 16:9 sequence and it's all synced perfectly.

Does anyone know why this happens of how to fix it?

Thanks,
Wil

Do an Audio Mixdown (OPTION-APPLE-R) and check again. Also try dumping render files using Render Manager.

If you can't nail down the cause, export the anamorphic 16:9 sequence as a self-contained full-quality movie file. Check it for sync and quality, then re-import that movie file into a blank project, put an Anamorphic flag on it, and do the letterbox crunch then. It's highly unlikely that a movie file like that would have sync drifts as you describe.
