exporting 1080i60 HDV for YouTube

Hi. I feel like this is a no-brainer, but I've checked around and can't find an answer.

So...

I have a project shot on HDV, 1440x1080. When I do "Export Quicktime Movie" the file I get is 1920x1080, HDV 1080i60, Integer (Big Endian). I need to post this to YouTube and since it's only a 30 second spot, I can give them this straight output (final file size is 95MB, YT limit is 1G).

But it looks like crap when it gets up on the site. Is there some kind of special compression I can do to prep it for YouTube?

I have to deliver tomorrow (thurs), so any help would be hugely appreciated.

Thanks!

Tom

This will give you a very long compression time, but this is the best I've found-

Good luck!

(Although... 30 seconds is pretty short, it shouldn't take TOO long. Give it a try)

Thanks a million. Will do it overnight. Will let you know in the AM how it worked.

Looks MUCH better, thanks. I don't know why a search didn't turn up that article. I found the one from a year ago, but didn't see that one. Hm...

Anyway, thanks again.
