Eliminate Glare

I looked through the FAQ's and did not see an answer to this question.
My son video-taped a Sychronized Swimming show at night, and I am doing the editing in FCP.
Is there a filter I can use to eliminate the glare of the lights onto the water?

In future you might try using a polarizing filter on the camera.

As an experiment, apply the 3 way color corrector and try reducing the white level considerably and bringing up the midrange. This may help a little.
