XML suggestion from post house

the post house i'm dealing with don't want to upgrade to 6.04 as it;s not stable with their Kona card yet. They are still on 6.02 (or maybe even 6.01?)

anyway they suggested that i give them XMLs
but also suggested that i give them a separate XML for each video layer.

i know that simpler is better with XMLs, but this seems like over kill.
this will be video only, and i would have thought a few V tracks without any audio wold be ok for XML.

I admire their diligence, however!

anyone else doing this?

from 6.0.1 to 6.0.4 there only had been minor changes which do not affect the interchange.
So I would export the whole sequence (or more) at time.

But it's difficult decision, the smaller the XML parts are the more it will likely be save, but you may lose masterclip information.
With bigger parts there are chances it won't work, but if it works the chance to have a missing masterclip relation is less.

Do some tests upfront.

thanks, Andreas

this is for the compile and on-line.
so losing master clips isn't a problem.

i'd like to test it.
i can defnnitly test going back to 6.02 as i still have that,
but don't have 6.01 (I think)

i was working in 6.02 myself on this project until the last lot of changes on the weekend.
heck, maybe i'll just re-do them!
i'll double check with the lab on their version.

thanks,
nick
