Converting HD stock footage to SD

Hi folks

I've been given a whole bunch of excellent stock footage in HD, but trying to use it in an SD project. Using it as HD and wire-frame/Motion adjusting is slow work, and finding/selecting clips in Viewer is very hard...Jog and Shuttle, JKL, Left-Right arrow keys, etc not responsive enough...so...

How do I convert the HD to SD?

Regards

Roy

Any number of applications can do this as long as you have the codec (which, since you can play, see and edit with the clips, you do): QuickTime Player, MPEG Streamclip, Compressor, even Final Cut Pro itself. Watch out for frame-rate differences, though, and since all HD is 16:9, you have to think about whether you want to try to convert the footage to anamorphic or make it letterboxed, how it fits in with your other footage, etc.

Thanks Derek

I tried it with MPEG Streamclip at 1280 x 720 (16:9) and it seems okay so far spinning smiley sticking its tongue out
