Hi and thank you for reading this

Next week I start Principal photography on my masterpiece sure to be better than Shindler's List ,All Quiet on the Western Front, Saving Private Ryan and Planet Nine from Outer space.

More Like Glenn and Glenda but I digress :-)

Nevertheless my DP opted on a JVC GY-HD100 24P/720

Any words of wisdom before I embark on this new adventure with such a lofty Camera?..any FCP Studio 2 problems, gotchas don't do it, don't even think about it wisdom which you can all impart upon me before I begin production?

Thank you so much!

Sincerely

Newbie for Life

I think it's too broad a question, Pablo. What specifically are you nervous about?

Hi Jude Thank you

I am worried about which codec to use when digitizing from the HD tape to my computer what would be the setup parameters for FCP (I am afraid that it's either not going to recogize the codec or that the sound will be out of sync etc.)

thanks again

Well I think it's just basically a HDV / mini DV camera, so really you'd just choose the easy set-up that matches what you shoot in. I don't know this camera in particular, so I could be wrong, but it looks like it should be no problem for FCP.
