I am editing a Feature Film shot with the Canon XL H1 one scene the cameraman shot on accident useing what I understand is the Landscape Filter, then scene was shot at night time and it has alot of ghosting in it as the talent or camera moves. Doe's anyone know how to fix the ghosting?

Thank You

Yeah, fire the cameraman and shoot it again. :-)

This should serve as a prime example to producers all over the world that not everything can be "fixed in post".

hey thats not true, firing the camera man and reshooting IS fixing in post.

reshoot constatutes post production if shooting isn't going on anymore

Nah-

I think that's called re-production...

It's nice to see that some people like giving us information on what they own. I'm going to do this for now on when I mention anything here for now on.

Here's an example: Yeah, if you edit looks better after the render, you might try it that way.

Dual G5 2.5, 8 gigs of sdram. blablablablablabla!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hahaha hehehee

I hope I can figure out why I still get the orange render bar after I import the HD Video in the time line.

I have a G5 dual 2.5

Bob,

I dont know that "Landscape" effect.
it sounds pretty good to me, but not necessarily what you wanted.

i know with DV *some* in-camera effects can be removed.
they're a RT filter in the camera, (doesn't get wrtitten to tape) and you just have to go back to the effects menu, and select the particular one again, and it takes it off.
thy're generaly colour-based FX, not time-based
unfortunatley your landscape effect sounds like it might be time-based, and one that has to be written to tape.

steeve,
in a lot of cases, supplying your gear info is vitally important.
helps pin-point a problem.
some people include it in their signature, so they don't have to keep writing it.

cheers,
nick

and keep in mind, steeve, for many of the professionals here on this forum, they're not bragging about what gear they own. Many of them don't actually own it, it's their employer's gear. It's merely what they use.

Sounds to me that that is a job for Shake and composite every shot...
