capture now delays

Hi -
sometimes when I hit "capture now" it starts capturing right away, some other times it take about 5 to 8 seconds to start capturing. I've noticed this since the last FCP update -
This happens with all my 4 systems -
it's not a big deal, but why does it do it randomly?
kind of annoying
