TRANSFERING FCE BETWEEN COMPUTERS

I just bought a new desktop Imac and transferred FCE from my laptop. I notice not all the filters transferred. I'm in the middle of a project. Can I re-install FCE on my new desktop without losing my current projects?

Never migrate applications...alway install from scratch.

Yeah, you can install without losing project. Back up the project file, perhaps onto the drive with your media...then erase and install the OS, then FCP.

Man, FCP needs an uninstaller. Oh, try this one:

Yes, reinstall would be your best option. Reinstalling will not mess up your project files in anyway.
