But seriously... I don't want to play the size card here, but 13" of screen realestate?

Surely thats just not satisfying!

Although a shiney black portable edit suite would look very cool on my lap!

But why Apple doesn't support it ??? Is-it only for commercial reasons ? ok really for "bad rendering quality in float 32bit" ?

I really hope that we will get more precious benchs and test around Motion, FCP, sourdtrack compressor...

Apple didn't officially support Firewire drives for a long time and everyone I know was using them with FCP. Sure it's not "optimal" but hook up an ADC + FW Drive & you should be good for basic cutting (X-compositing/Motion).

So its safe to say that the macbook with a graid would be viable to edit hdv and other hd formats?
