!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!congratualations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YOU ARE THE 1,000,000th CUSTOMER --------- to ask THIS question ---------- hahahahahahahaha - i just thought that was funny, since this is just about THE most frequently asked question on the forum. just to add a counterpoint to the solution. there are 2 good applications for this: DVDxDV and mpeg streamclip. i use them both for different situations and here are my experiences: DVDxDV pro: VERY reliable, FANTASTIC SUPPORT con: cost $25 or $80 depending on version, DOES NOT DISPLAY TIMECODE mpegstreamclip: pro: displays accurate timecode, FREE con: somewhat prone to errors
Hi toast 6 should be around 50 bucks I think toast 7 is around 70 to 90 bucks, maybe check online. it's worth it.
you don't have to worry about the .mpg or mov. you can convert from dvd .mpg 2 compressed and the program sets it automatically to a mov. file. that's quicktime mov. you can't ask for anything easier then that.
isn't streamclip a FREE software that allows you to do miracles. I don't know my experience is that you don't get something for nothing. I went to their site i just downloaded there mac version. so we'll see. My experience is that if it's that great companies would be vying for it. just like apple bought quicktime when it was first introduced to the market.
hollywood, im not sure what your point is?
mpeg streamclip (aside from an error here or there) just works. and it displays timecode - which DVDxDV STILL does NOT. which is why i use streamclip. i do a good bit of work putting together arbitration presentations for attorneys. and if i didnt have mpegstreamclip and its timecode readout id have to just search randomly through stacks of deposition DVDs... mpegstreamclip has been instrumental in about $35,000 for my business in the last 10 months.
