Trouble with serial number on upgrade

Trying to install FC 6 upgrade. Entering existing S/N gets invalid message. I've confirmed the numbers over and over again. The booklet numbers match the numbers that display when u first boot the program. Checked zeros vs letter "O" etc.. Upgrading FC 5.1 suite to FC 6

Anyone else run into this issue? I've done upgrades before without any issues.

Is your copy of FCP5 a crossgrade or education copy? As far as I know, those can't be upgraded.

None of the above. Full tilt copy. Really weird but frustrating.

You have to enter the SN of the first FULL version you had...I think. My Studio 1 was an upgrade, so I had to input my FCP 4.5 number.

Updated to FC 5.1.4, trying to use upgrade package to FC 6

message says invalid S/N. I'm typing the 5.1 original S/N as the instructions state if your doing an upgrade vs full install.

I seem to remember going from 5 to 5.1.2. (I think with the Universal Crossgrade) then to FCS, then to FCS2.
