Clip Slips After Render

Editing music video.
After I render the timeline a clip slips a few seconds. When I reference that clip by double clicking & bringing it up in the viewer, the original in/out points are there even though when I play the timeline the content of that particular clip does not reflect the in/out points.

Video or audio clip, or both?

Last time I saw this, it was because of bad capture presets that resulted in bad timecode. You may have to recapture from tape.
