Export problems

Hello LAFCPUG

Here is an issue I am having with my class -
one of my students is trying to export her video in order to put her project on a DVD
When she goes to file - export - quicktime movie

her screen shows.

Settings - "current settings"
Include - "instead of showing audio/video it shows all the font names on the computer"
Markers - none

Does anyone know what the problem is? and is it an easy fix

Have you tried trashing preferences or copy/paste to a new project for export?

Does it do this when you use compressor?

Whenever I've encountered this problem, it's because I have unorthodox characters in the name of the Sequence from which I'm doing the export. In my past cases, even a "." would cause those export options to go nutty -- for example, when I put "23.98fps" on my Sequence name. Take a look at your student's Sequence name and change it to something simple (eg. "Sequence 101", see if that fixes it.

It did take running the disk repair utilities - that fixed the problem

Derek - her sequence name was fine - I did try a couple different names and nothing worked.
