Kona LHe / Kona 3 downconverts on the fly...you can lay off a ProRes / DVCPRO-HD timeline to DigiBeta / BetaSP with no issues at all. That's how I do it.

When life gives you dilemmas...make dilemmanade.

you can do this live to tape, via most HD video i/o cards.

or you can export.

if you are all rendered,
export a QuickTime Movie, same settings, self contained.

then down-convert that.
you'll save lots of time that way.

you can set that going in compressor, and keep working in FCP if you need to.

In response to first reply - I need my movie in 2 formats - one for HD projection and possible Blueray DVD run - the other SD top DVD for everyone else - who can't handle HD. Thanks
