Error message: This project was saved using a different version of FCP...

I created a project and completed the spot. The next morning, I was not at work and another editor had to make a change for the client. When they found the project file and tried to open it, an error message said it had been created with a different version of FCP. That's impossible, since we have only one version on this computer, and it was saved just the day before. I came in the next day and it opened fine, and I made the change.

We use the multiple user accounts and of course the other editor is on a different user account than mine. What could cause that and is there a solution?

So what version are you using?

There was an error like that with an update of an earlier version of Final Cut Pro. It was caused by wrong permission rights.
Search the Apple knowledge base for that, currently I can't recall the solution.

The version of FCP is 5.1.4
And I looked at the permission rights. We had that problem when we bought a new mac and reinstalled everything, but seemed to have fixed it.
