Converting 24p to a series of stills

Is there a quick and easy way to chop up a 24p (or any movie really) into a series of still images?

Hopefully, they would still be "one file" (like Targa??), but anything would work.

Any idea greatly appreciated,

Thanks,

Mike

yes -

go to File/export/using quicktime conversion

then select where you want the images to go, be very carefull where you put this because remember that every frame will be an image and if you put it, let's say on the desktop, it will put a whole bunch of images there.

once you select where you want to save the images under the format dropdown menu select image sequence then click on options and select TGA for the format and under frame rate select 24 -

then save it. I hope this helps -

You also may have noticed that depending on which picture type you picked, the picture collection takes up enormously more space than the original video.

When you export stills, all the video compression goes away. This can be a nasty shock if you're tight for drive space.
