Frame margin Motion Vs FCP

I used a volumetrix wipe in Motion and increased the frame margin so as not to limit the ray lengths ( or cut the off) works fine in motion but when back in final cut its limited the the size of the text box and sharp edges again. ie the increased frame margin did not transfer thru to FCP.
I tried as suggested for another problem ( lightrays) to put the effect on the group layer. same problem. Can anyone suggest anything

How are you importing the project from Motion into FCP? What project settings are you using in Motion and FCP?

Unfortunately, FCP does not support a frame margin - I wish it did! To get round this you can nest the item in FCP or in Motion apply the filter to a group. There is an example in the documents.

Make sure too you have done the free upgrade to Volumetrix2

Its a "SEND TO Motion" export from FCP and returned.

What then is the point of having Frame Margin in Motion if it does not transfer back to Final Cut?
