Sony HVR M15U not dected by FCP 6

Sony HVR M15U not dected by FCP 6

After months of work all of a sudden FCP 6 will not detect my Sony HVR M15U.
Any Ideas on what the problem might be would be appreciated!
I'm running on a Powerbook G4 15" 1.56 GHZ and 2 gigs of RAM

Trash your preferences, repair permissions, try a new cable?
