audio only insert edit using edit to tape

I have used the edit to tape feature with much success in the past.

However, I'm currently having trouble with doing an audio only insert.

The FCP setup is all the latest gear and the destination tape deck is Digibeta.

I've not been able to find any encouraging workaround regarding audio only insert edits to digibeta.

Any suggestions?

Well, on the bottom right of the ETT window there are 3 icons...one for timecode, one for video and one for audio. Disable the TC and the VIDEO one, and make sure all the audio tracks are enabled for the AUDIO option. Mark IN and OUT on the sequence, copy the IN point to the IN on the ETT window, then just drag the sequence to the INSERT box and you should be good to go.

What happens when you try to do the insert? Does it cue up to the proper TC but just no audio is laying down? Can you make an Audio/video insert on some scratch stock to verify A/V is hitting the deck from your system? Make sure your audio channels are configured correctly under the sequence settings - audio outputs option.
