I am working on a doc that has a historical section that occurs in the 1980's...the emergence of House music. Currently we have a lot of stock footage of things that I would rather just shoot and not pay anything for...who wouldn't? So, as the editor I am doing a few pickup shots....we editors should be allowed to do from time to time.
What I need are 1980's era boom boxes or component stereo systems. Just a quick shot of turning it on and tuning the radio band....nothing fancy.
So if you are in the LA area and have something like this collecting dust in the garage, or still seeing use in your entertainment system, I was wondering if I could take 10 min of your time to get a quick shot.

And they are close. But the point is trying to do this for free to avoid stock footage. But, they might have something in the $25 range.
