nesting issue with FC5
September 04, 2009 09:21PM
i ran a project through the media manager and everything appeared to have
worked fine. i then nested the timeline into a clean sequence and found that
a couple of clips did not come through in the nest. they do appear in the
managed timeline. (project is dv, btw.)

there are a great many composites in this piece. the two clips in question
are a part of a comp that has something like a half dozen layers. they employ
composite modes of multiply and difference. as i said, these two clips do
appear and flow together fine in the original timeline as well as the managed
timeline. it's only when i drag the managed timeline into a clean sequence
that i lose the two clips.

i tried unrendering and re-rendering the source for the nest as well as the
nested timeline. no luck. i also tried completely deleting the render files for
the whole project. no luck.

what else can i try to get these clips to play nice in a nested context?

thanks,

One thing to try is to export the original working timeline as
Self-Contained QT, and then load this QT into a new timeline.
