Control Surface - MCU - question

I just got a Mackie Control Universal and I can't seem to get the motorized faders to work properly. They rest a infinity. If I grab one, I can adjust the level, but then the fader immediately returns back to infinity. And the faders never follow along with the cut, even if I've recorded automation. Ever other button works as advertised. Am I messed up on some setting?

If anyone ever has a problem with the MCU, just unplug and re-plug the midi cable, making sure that the fit is tight. With MIDI, anytime there is not a perfect connection, only some of the controls will be affected.
