markers

Hello,

This is what happened: I got 6 hours of materials, marked them all extensively. Now the same material is being re-compressed and I'll be getting new clips. It's the same clips, it's just that they'll have a different compression.
The problem is that I don't want all my work on the lower compression to go wasted and I want to keep all my markers.

Is there a way of exporting the markers? And then importing them back in?
Or should I try to relink my project to the new clips? Perhaps that's easier?

Thanks a lot.

the easiest way is to use the Media Manager to do the recompression.
that way you'll keep all the markers.

otherwise the free "Marker Tool" from Spherico FIlm Tools:
could have some solution for you.

finally, you could use a macro app such as QuicKeys to copy markers from one clip to another.
i've done thins in the past.
