Final Cut Pro frequent crashing

Final Cut Pro frequent crashing
October 02, 2009 06:14PM
Hi,

I'm currently working on a Final Cut Pro v. 7 feature length project, and I am experiencing seemingly unmotivated crashes on a regular basis (at least once a day). My system is a 2.6 quad core with 3 GB of RAM, and I am storing my media on a Firewire 800 RAID device. The project file is large, about 150 MB, but I don't think it's unreasonably large. Does anybody have any general words of advice for why this may be happening or what I can do to stop it.

Actually that is relatively large for a project file. I'd try to do a media manage and get that to a smaller project. That and add more ram, trash your prefs, repair permissions etc.

There were some notes on Macfixit about Leopard and Snow Leopard apps unexpectedly quitting. I guess they're working on an update.
