Where should one place timecode in a film for someone to view, film is subtitled!

the only real "rule" is: wherever it works best.
if you've got subtitles at the bottom,
put the TC at the top.
if you are making something that will be viewed on televisions,
make sure you put the TC display within the Action safe area.
