Compressor Issue

Could someone please advise me on an issue I am having with compressor.
Every time I try to compress a quicktime movie... when I hit the submit button I get an error that tells me to restart my computer or verify that Compressor is installed correctly.

I have used compressor on this computer before but it seems to be giving me trouble now. Any suggestions?

Have you tried deleting Compressor's plist?

Quit Compressor, throw the file below in the trash, and then re-launch Compressor.

[User]>Library>Preferences>com.apple.compressor.Compressor.plist

I have tried going to digitalrebellion and fixing the compressor. now when I try to compress... nothing happens. It says it has created a movie but when I click on the movie ... it says that this is not a movie file.

I have tried re installing all the fcp software and I still cannot get it to work
any other ideas?

Don't waste anymore time with work around. Re-install compressor and qmaster.
That was the only thing that worked for me.

I've heard that using FCS remover and re-installing after that can fix this, but no confirmations on that. I think it's mainly to do with Q Master corruption.
