OK, quick serial number issue (legit)

Hi again,

On one of our machines, the editor has a legit 6.0, with the .6 update. Everything was fine until he copied some files over (I think to an internal drive) - and he thinks he pulled over an older copy of FCP. Ever since then, he has had to enter the serial number on startup.

He already deleted FCP and reinstalled. He's wondering if there's an old fie left somewhere that is leading to this prompt...?

I checked the wiki/FAQ & searched Cafe'LA ... I wonder if it's related to "/Library/Application Support/ProApps/Final Cut Studio System ID." ? Maybe he removed the Final Cut Studio System ID by mistake?

Remove the System ID and restart the application. Make sure you're an admin user and enter the serial number.
