sound muffled

HI! I am fixing someones old wedding tape and the sound is very muffled. Can soundtrack help with this at all? Thank you for any ideas or tutorials you may know of! Jen

Soundtrack can help with that. You might try using a compressor to boost the overall volume, and then an EQ with a boost at the high end to emphasize the high-end of the spectrum to make it sound "brighter". There's lots of tricks you can try...

But in the end, there's only so much you can do to improve bad audio. Spend a little time and move on.
