Frame Viewer won't show Current Frame w/o Filters

Hi,

When I use the Frame Viewer to preview some colour correction, it shows me the frame with filters but it won't show me the frame without filters. It just appears as a black frame.

I'm editing ProRes HQ 720p square pixel at 25 fps. I have over 3.5GB free memory and hard disk under 60% full.

Any ideas what the problem is? Thanks!

EDIT: added screengrab.

I think you have them both on the left side. try sliding one on the right side

No, the configuration shown is V-Split, left is Current Frame, right is Current Frame w/o Filters. It's not possible to slide one side over the other.

If you change one to previous edit, does it behave as expected?

Also, we can't see your screengrab because it it asking for a password to view it.

Solved it!

The problem was my footage is on V1 and I have a Slug on V3 with a Mask Shape filter on it as a widescreen mask. So when Frame Viewer shows Current Frame w/o Filters, it removes the Mask Shape from the Slug in V3 and this therefore results in a black frame blocking V1.

Duh.

I've now nested the sequence and put the widescreen mask on the parent sequence.
