Dead spot in timeline

I never had this happen before. I have had dead spots in timelines where I removed one audio clip or video clip to fix it, but this dead spot is truly dead. I redigitized the audio and video, put it back on the timeline and the spot is still dead. I replace the audio and video with an unrelated clip, still dead. Finally, I did a disk Warrior diagnostic on all drives and zapped the P-Ram, started up the project again and it's still there. Any ideas? Thanks.

Is it one point in the timeline or one point in the clip? In other words, if you slid the clip down the timeline one minute, is the dead spot at the same spot in the clip, or at the same spot in the overall timeline?

If it's the timeline, I'd just suggest starting a new timeline, pasting everything over and the problem will most likely go away. If it's the clip, you have bigger problems.

Also, when you're giving information on your system, try not to say "tons of". That tells us nothing. Give us the actual numbers.

Sorry, momentary frustration.

Thanks for the suggestion. It worked.
