Bad Film filter affecting all clips after it (without the filter)

I put the BAD FILM filter on a clip in the timeline. One clip. Now, all following clips appear to have this filter on them. Just as a double check I opened them in the viewer and none of them have any filters on them!! WTF???

Just spent an hour on the phone with support and their only fix was go back to a timed backup. They'd heard of this problem with this filter and one other filter, which the guy couldn't remember.

Anyone else know of a different fix for this?

Just found a quick(er) fix:

Opened the nearest timed backup that didn't have the issue. Cut and pasted my changes since then, minus the filter, into that sequence and re-saved the new project. Whew.
