plug-in or method for removing frames in fcp (for time-lapse purposes)

I have two projects that I need to remove frames for. One is a time-lapse project that I shot real-time on the RED cam and thought for sure that there was a program to remove frames (as opposed to time remapping); I have yet to find the program. The other is a black and white hand-cranked project that I want to make look more authentic by removing frames, plus I need to shave off a few seconds. Does anyone know of a plug in for FCP or a method to achieve both of these goals?

Thank you very much!!

No need to TIME REMAP...just adjust the speed. Load the footage into the VIEWER, Mark IN, mark OUT, press CMD-J...adjust the duration to what you want, or the % speed change, and when you cut it into the sequence, the frames are removed.

Thank you Shane! I thought that the frames were always blended somehow rather than removed. I guess that I have to make sure that frame blending is turned off. Thanks again. I'll give it a try.

yeah, that's a checkbox in the Speed Modify window.
