Does seq. need to be rendered before exporting to compressor

HI! Do you have to render the whole sequence before exporting it through compressor. Or does it not matter?

Well, if you don't before you send, FCP will render AS it sends. I find it quicker to render, THEN send. Because you also retain the renders. If you let Compressor render, it only renders it for the export.

Render then export a QT movie and bring that into Compressor. Sending to Compressor from FCP takes longer.
