Strange Program running on my cpu

has anyone seen " MOTUPureDSP" on their cpu?

i have this in my trash and every-time i try to delete it, it says " the operation cannot be completed because the item "MOTUPureDSP" is in use."

its only been there for about 10 days never was there b4. i dont have any programs that it seems to point to. my concern is that it is a virus.
( as the crowd gasp in disbelief)

yes i believe it is a virus. it's icon looks like a small rounded rectangle with MOTU(in green at about 4pt.) in the upper left hand corner.

does anyone know what this is?

So ten days ago did you download a plug in? MOTU is Mark of the Unicorn and Pure DSP is a Pitch shift/time compression plug in.

Do a "Get Info" on the file. Unlock it and then it will be able to be deleted.
