Mixing Formats in FCP 6.0 ProjectPosted by nlittrell
Hi:
Suddenly, I'm becoming a familiar face in these parts. I'm wanting to create a sequence that mixes formats: Anamorphic DV, HDV and video shot on a Canon Rebel T11, which is sort of HDV, but not really. I'm just starting to work with ProRes. Do I capture the DV and HDV in their "native" codec with ProRes settings? What should my sequence settings be for the best results? The bulk of my footage was shot on DV. What about the video from the Rebel T1I? Just bring that in and "allow" it to match up with the sequence settings? Does it matter which order I capture DV and HD? Thanks. Nicolle
I'll work in an SD Anamorphic ProRes timeline and convert the HDV and Canon footage to ProRes SD.

Again, very elementary question: how do I quickly and easily convert the HDV and Canon Footage to ProRes? Compressor? I've never had to do this before. In case you hadn't guessed, I'm also largely self-taught with FCP.
How would this work with the Rebel T1i footage, which I believe is 20fps? Thank you, thank you, thank you... Nicolle
