Firestore FS-4

I recently updated my Firestore FS-4 to HD, however in HD it records the files as m2t files. I'm using FCP 4.5 HD on a 17" powerbook and also the HDR-FX1. FCP won't detect my camera so I can't capture not that I would because that's what my Firestore is for. But I can't get FCP to recognize m2t files. What do I do and where do I get it?
